How to solve the phenomenon of surging in boiling dryer
2025,07,11
The uneven size distribution of solid particles in the Boiling Dryer, uneven gas passing through the distribution plate, and the high height to diameter ratio of the GFG high-efficiency boiling dryer can cause bubbles in the bed to merge and grow until the bubble diameter approaches the inner diameter of the bed. Due to the high gas velocity, solid particles will form a piston shaped upward movement in the bed. When the bubbles rupture at the dense phase interface, the particles will be thrown up high, small particles will be carried by the airflow, and larger particles will then fall one after another. Such a repetitive cycle will result in poor contact between solid particles and the drying medium fluid, leading to a decrease in drying efficiency. The phenomenon that occurs is called surging.
