Product Description
The bulk density of the material in a stainless steel rotary Vacuum Dryer is the mass of the material per unit volume. Due to the fact that the material is a mixture of dry and wet materials, dry materials are often in the form of particles, powders, or solid blocks, and the gaps between dry material particles vary depending on the moisture content in the material. There is a significant difference in bulk density between raw wet materials and materials during the drying process, and attention should be paid when selecting a dryer.

The double cone rotary vacuum dryer is an Efficient Drying Equipment that combines the characteristics of vacuum drying and rotary stirring. Its working principle is to create a vacuum environment inside a closed double cone cylinder, while the cylinder slowly rotates, causing the material to constantly flip and mix inside the cylinder, thereby achieving uniform drying. This equipment is suitable for drying various special materials due to its low-temperature drying, material resistance to oxidation, energy saving and environmental protection characteristics. The specific applicable materials are as follows:

1. Thermally sensitive materials
Thermally sensitive materials refer to substances that are sensitive to temperature and are prone to decomposition, denaturation, oxidation, or loss of activity at high temperatures. The low-temperature drying characteristics of the double cone rotary vacuum dryer (which can adjust the drying temperature by controlling the vacuum degree, usually between 30-80 ℃) can effectively avoid such problems. Typical materials include:
Pharmaceutical raw materials and intermediates, such as antibiotics, vitamins, enzyme preparations, vaccines, etc., can be damaged by high temperatures due to their pharmacological or biological activity.
Food and health product ingredients, such as protein powder, probiotics, fruit and vegetable powder, and health product extracts, should retain their nutritional content and flavor.
Chemical thermosensitive products, such as certain resins, polymer monomers, dye intermediates, etc., are prone to structural changes at high temperatures.

2. Easily oxidizable and volatile materials
This type of material is prone to react with oxygen in the air and deteriorate, or has volatility (more easily lost at high temperatures). A vacuum environment can isolate the air and lower the boiling point of volatile substances, reducing the risk of loss and deterioration:
Chemical reagents, such as certain organic amines, peroxides, reducing agents, etc., are easily oxidized and ineffective.
Spices and essence raw materials: such as natural flavor extracts (menthol, citronella oil, etc.), high temperature and oxygen will cause flavor volatilization or deterioration.
Fuel and oil additives, such as certain antioxidants and catalysts, are prone to performance degradation due to oxidation.

3. Materials containing organic solvents
When the material contains organic solvents (such as ethanol, acetone, toluene, etc.), a vacuum environment can lower the boiling point of the solvent, accelerate its evaporation, and facilitate solvent recovery (reducing pollution and waste). Suitable materials include:
Pharmaceutical wet materials: such as raw material wet products crystallized from organic solvents (such as antibiotic crystals, steroid compounds).
Chemical synthetic materials, such as dyes, coatings, and adhesives, often contain residual organic solvents after synthesis.
Pesticide raw materials, such as wet materials of certain insecticides and fungicides, require the removal of organic solvents used in production.

4. Toxic, harmful, and irritating materials
The closed design of the double cone dryer can prevent material leakage or odor diffusion, reduce the harm to operators and the environment, and suitable materials include:
Toxic chemical products: such as certain heavy metal compounds, cyanide containing compounds, arsenic containing compounds, etc.
Pesticides and veterinary drugs, such as raw materials for insecticides and herbicides, are toxic or irritating.
Hazardous waste disposal: For example, residues from the evaporation of certain industrial sludge and laboratory hazardous waste liquids need to be safely dried.

5. High viscosity, paste like or granular materials
The rotary motion of the double cone cylinder can continuously flip and break the material, avoiding wall sticking and agglomeration, and is suitable for drying materials with complex shapes:
Paste like materials, such as pigment paste, cosmetic paste raw materials, catalyst paste, etc., are prone to clumping during traditional drying.
Granular and small block materials, such as plastic particles, resin particles, Chinese Herbal Medicine slices (slices), etc., need to be evenly dried and maintain the particle shape.
Filter cake materials: such as chemical filter cake and pharmaceutical filter cake that have been filtered (containing a certain amount of moisture and appearing as loose blocks).

6. Materials with low residual moisture requirements
The vacuum environment can effectively reduce the final moisture content of materials (which can be as low as 0.1% or less), meet the requirements of high-precision drying, and is suitable for:
Electronic materials such as battery materials (positive electrode materials, negative electrode materials), electronic ceramic powders, etc., residual moisture can affect performance.
Precision chemical products: such as special resins and high-performance coating materials, with low moisture content to ensure subsequent processing stability.

Not applicable for materials
It should be noted that the double cone rotary vacuum dryer has poor drying effect on materials that are prone to clumping and hard (such as fully solidified blocks that cannot be crushed by rotary), fibrous or elongated materials (which are prone to entanglement in the cylinder and affect flipping). These materials are more suitable for other drying equipment (such as fluidized bed dryers).
In summary, the double cone rotary vacuum dryer is widely used in the drying of special materials in industries such as pharmaceuticals, chemicals, food, and new materials due to its advantages of low vacuum temperature, good sealing, and uniform material mixing. It is particularly suitable for scenarios with strict drying conditions (low temperature, oxygen free, low residue).
