mixing of powder and granules of various particle sizes.

Working principle

Twin screw cone mixer: Two asymmetric spirals rotate around the axis while using the rotational action of the rotating arm to perform orbital motion inside the cone. Through the rotation of the spirals, the material is repeatedly lifted, generating composite movements such as shear, convection, and diffusion inside the cone, thus achieving uniform mixing.

Cone spiral belt mixer: It is directly connected to the main shaft by a vertical motor through a cycloidal pinwheel reducer, and there are two large and lower circles of spiral belts on the main shaft. The rotating screw belt lifts or throws the material along the wall in a circular motion from bottom to top in the mixing chamber. When the material reaches the center or highest point, it moves downward by its own weight, causing the material to diffuse, convective, shear, displace, and mix with each other in the conical mixing chamber, forcing the material to undergo irregular composite motion in all directions.

 

Structural composition

Transmission system: generally includes motors, reducers, etc., providing power for the rotation and revolution of the helical shaft. Revolution and rotation are usually transmitted separately, often using fixed cycloidal pinwheel reducers with high speed ratios and efficiency. They are distributed and reversed through bevel gears and transmitted to the two rotating arms.

Mixing screw: It is a direct working mechanism for mixing materials, consisting of a screw and a spiral plate. Spiral blades are welded in a right-handed direction with a certain diameter and pitch. The twin-screw Conical Mixer usually has two inclined screws, parallel to the generatrix of the conical cylinder, symmetrically distributed on both sides of the centerline of the cone, and intersecting at the bottom of the cone, connected to the central rod; The conical spiral belt mixer is equipped with two rings of spiral belts on the main shaft.

Cylinder: Generally made into an inverted conical shape, providing sufficient alternating circulation space for the material under the lifting effect of the screw, ensuring the mixing effect.

Discharge valve: Common types include plum blossom shaped "displacement valves", which are tightly attached to the bottom of the long spiral, effectively reducing mixing dead corners. The driving mode is available in manual and pneumatic options. According to user needs, butterfly valves, ball valves, star shaped unloaders, etc. can also be installed.

 

Equipment features

High mixing uniformity: It can achieve highly uniform mixing of materials with different densities and particle sizes in a short period of time, reducing mixing dead corners and ensuring mixing quality.

Wide applicability: It can be used for mixing powders with powders, powders with liquids, and can stir fine powders, fibers or sheet-like materials. It is suitable for multiple industries such as pharmaceuticals, food, pesticides, dyes, chemicals, plastics, lithium battery materials, etc.

Low energy consumption: Compared to some other types of mixers, it has lower energy consumption and better energy-saving effect while achieving the same mixing effect.

Low crushing: The mixing process is relatively gentle, with minimal wear on the material particles, making it less likely to cause material breakage. It is especially suitable for materials that are fragile or require high particle integrity.

Strong customizability: Non standard designs can be made according to different process requirements and material characteristics, such as installing coil steam jacket, honeycomb pressure resistant jacket, circulating medium jacket, online sampling valve, temperature detection, weighing system, dust removal and purification components. Products with spray type, explosion-proof type, heating type, vacuum type and other functions can also be customized.

 

Operation and maintenance

Precautions for operation: Before starting the equipment, check whether all components are normal, whether the transmission system is well lubricated, and whether the discharge valve is tightly closed. During operation, attention should be paid to observing the operating status of the equipment, such as motor current, temperature, sound, etc. If there are any abnormalities, the machine should be stopped and checked in a timely manner. At the same time, it is necessary to adjust the mixing time, speed and other parameters reasonably according to the properties and mixing requirements of the materials.

Maintenance points: Regularly clean the equipment, remove material residues on the inner wall of the cylinder and spiral blades, and prevent material accumulation from affecting the mixing effect. Check the wear of transmission components, such as reducers, bearings, gears, etc., and replace severely worn components in a timely manner. Inspect and replace the seals to ensure the sealing of the equipment and prevent material leakage. In addition, it is necessary to regularly lubricate and maintain the equipment to ensure the normal operation of all moving parts.
